colored pencil.
I fell in love with colored pencils recently. I had no idea that something I associated with the 5th grade could produce such realistic renderings. It takes a lot of time...slowly layering and burnishing (a fancy term for slowly shading until the waxes and pigments mix and form a solid layer on the paper) for about 4 hours each drawing...but completely worth it. I hope to do some more soon, but here are my first few.

ReplyDeleteWhen you were five and drew the Puzzle Place Kids...I knew there was more to come!
ReplyDeleteErin, these drawings are amazing. I keep coming back to them and see something that I didn't see before.
ReplyDeleteEri, Your pics are so beautiful. I wish I could do that! I love looking at them all. Love the pics you drew for me. I still am finding a place for the tiger one and I hung up the flower one on my wall. Mwa.
